Gmailを新しいデザインに変更

GMailのUIが新しくなったそうな
『 Gmail's New Look, Now Available http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2011/11/gmails-new-look-now-available.html 』 

ココによるとページの下の方に変更のスイッチが出てるらしい

GMail経由でメールを出す3

メモ

メールは全部GMailに任せたくなったのでexim4のスマートホスト機能を設定してみた。

> # dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config

  1. + General type of mail configuration: スマートホストでメール送信; SMTP または fetchmail で受信する
    1. System mail name: localhost
    2. IP-addresses to listen on for incoming SMTP connections: 127.0.0.1
    3. Other destinations for which mail is accepted: localhost
    4. Machines to relay mail for:
    5. IP address or host name of the outgoing smarthost: smtp.gmail.com:587
    6. Hide local mail name in outgoing mail? <いいえ>
    7. DNS クエリの数を最小限に留めますか (ダイヤルオンデマンド)? <いいえ>
    8. ローカルメールの配送方式: /var/mail/ 内の mbox 形式
    9. Split configuration into small files? <はい>

設定項目が終了すると、exim4が再起動。で、次にexim4の設定ファイルに下記を追記

> # vi /etc/exim4/passwd.client

  • - gmail-smtp.l.google.com:[GMailアカウント]@gmail.com:[GMailパスワード]
    • *.google.com:[GMailアカウント]@gmail.com:[GMailパスワード]
    • smtp.gmail.com:[GMailアカウント]@gmail.com:[GMailパスワード]

そしてローカルとGMailのメールのアドレス対応を記述だが、自分しか使ってないので以下で済ますw

> # echo 'username@localhost: GMailAccount@gmail.com' > /etc/exim4/email-addresses

最後にexim4を再起動

> # /etc/init.d/exim4 restart

以上でGMail経由でメールを出すことができた。

P.S.

独自ドメイン版GMailでも同じやり方でできた

これ以外にできないなーと思ったのは、WEB版では可能な設定「受けたアドレスで返信する機能」がOFFにされちゃっていることかな。↓この設定なんだけど…

Gmail for Mobile Devices

EZ-WebでGMailにアクセスしているが確かに面倒だ

でもauがGoogleと組んだといってもこのアプリをBREW対応することはないんだろうなぁ

やってくれたらうれしいけど
